RL Institute Hosts International Conference on Sustainable Business Practices

Madurai: 

The Department of Management Studies, RL Institute of Management Studies – Madurai, Swami  Dayananda College, Manjakkudi & Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur organized an International  Conference on Sustainable Business Practices on January 9, 2026, focusing on integrating  Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into modern business strategies. 

The conference provided a platform for academicians, researchers, and industry professionals to  deliberate on innovative models, best practices, and long-term strategies that promote sustainable  growth and responsible business conduct. 

Renowned academicians including Dr. Jeyaraj, Dr. Mathiyazhagan, Dr. Sivakumar, Dr. Ganesan, Dr.  Venkatesakumar shared insights on sustainability-driven business transformation, governance  frameworks, and ethical decision-making in organizations. 

The speakers emphasized the importance of aligning ESG frameworks with corporate objectives to  ensure resilience, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship in the evolving global business  landscape. 

The conference witnessed active participation from faculty members, research scholars, and  management students, making it a valuable academic engagement that strengthened industry– academia collaboration.

“Vizhuthugal” – Smt. Subbalakshmi Ammal Educational Excellence Award 2025 Held at RLIMS

RL Institute of Management Studies (RLIMS), in association with Dinamalar, hosted the Smt. Subbalakshmi Ammal Educational Excellence Award 2025 to honour outstanding school teachers. More than 72 educators from Madurai and nearby districts were recognised.

Dr. M. Subramanian, Director – RLIMS, briefed about “Vizhuthugal – Awards 2025” The awards were presented by Dr. M. Kannan, Director – Research, M.S. Chellamuthu Institute of Mental Health and Rehabilitation, Madurai. He also delivered an inspiring speech on the pivotal role of teachers in shaping future generations.

RLIMS Signs an MoU with Dotcom Infoway Pvt. Ltd

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between RL Institute of Management Studies (RLIMS) and the leading IT company Dot Com Infoway, based in Madurai on October 13, 2025.

Through this agreement, students will be provided with professional skill development training, digital marketing exposure, technological development workshops, internships, and collaborative research opportunities.

During the event, Mr. C. R. Venkatesh, Managing Director of Dot Com Infoway, participated and delivered a special address to the first-year MBA students. He shared his valuable entrepreneurial experiences and encouraged the young learners to move forward in their professional journey with innovative ideas and a progressive mindset.

Prof. Chandrika’s Inspiring Visit to RL Institute of Management Studies

RL Institute of Management Studies (RLIMS), Madurai, had the honor of hosting Prof. Chandrika, whose visit marked an inspiring and insightful day for both faculty and students.

During her interaction, Prof. Chandrika shared her valuable insights on PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), sparking meaningful discussions among students about ethical leadership, social responsibility, and sustainable business practices. Her engaging approach, warmth, and wisdom left a profound impact on the learners, motivating them to think deeply and act purposefully in their professional journeys.

The session also included an open interaction, where Prof. Chandrika patiently listened to students’ experiences and ideas, offering encouragement and thoughtful reflections. Her genuine interest and guidance strengthened the institute’s vision of nurturing ethical, socially conscious, and future-ready leaders.

RLIMS extends its heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Chandrika for her gracious presence and valuable contribution. Special thanks were also conveyed to Lisa Ma’am for her coordination and support in facilitating this memorable visit.

Guest Lecture on Strategic Employee Relations in the Digital Age

Madurai, September 21, 2025: RL Institute of Management Studies (RLIMS), Madurai, organized a guest lecture on “Strategic Employee Relations in the Digital Age: Balancing Technology and Human Touch in Industrial Settings” on its campus.

The distinguished guest speaker, Mr. Ponnien Selvan K, Manager – HR, TVS Sensing Solutions Private Limited, delivered an insightful session to the MBA students.

In his address, he highlighted the growing importance of balancing advanced digital tools with the human touch in industrial relations. He emphasized that while automation and technology ensure efficiency, it is empathy, trust, and long-term employee engagement that sustain organizational growth. He further underlined the role of leadership in fostering transparency, well-being, and skill development
among employees in the digital era.

The session provided students with valuable perspectives on integrating technology with human-centric approaches in employee management. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a memento presented to the guest by the faculty members.
