What is
IILP?
Industry Immersion Learning Program — a 15-month, inside-the-organization experience designed for 10 selected MBA students.
Your MBA — lived inside a real company
IILP is not an internship you do at the end. It runs alongside your entire MBA — Semester 1 through Semester 3 — placing you inside a partner organization two days every week, and full-time for three months during the summer.
While your batchmates apply theory in classrooms, you apply it on Monday morning in a real functional role. Every case study you study on Thursday, you've likely seen a version of on Friday.
Only 10 students from the 2026–28 batch are selected for this program. It is competitive, demanding, and one of the most significant differentiators you can carry into the job market.
10 seats. Who makes the cut?
Academic Seriousness
Consistent engagement with coursework. IILP students carry the full academic load alongside industry work.
Professional Maturity
Ability to represent RLIMS in a workplace — punctuality, communication, and accountability.
Domain Interest Fit
Alignment between your chosen specialisation and the functional area of the partner organization.
Commitment Readiness
15 months is a long runway. IILP students must be genuinely committed — not just seeking a résumé line.
Your journey, phase by phase
From the first week of Semester 1 to the last month of Semester 3 — here's exactly what 15 months looks like.
What do you actually do?
Two very different modes — the weekly engagement and the summer deep-dive.
Weekly (Fridays & Saturdays)
- Work within a functional team in your assigned domain
- Attend department meetings, review cycles, and reporting sessions
- Take on live tasks — analysis, communication, coordination
- Debrief with your Faculty Mentor on what you observed
- Build a running learning log — your own IILP journal
Summer Immersion (May – July 2027)
- Full-time for 3 months — no classes, full focus on the organization
- Lead or co-lead a defined project with measurable outcomes
- Interact with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Produce a formal Summer Immersion Report for evaluation
- Build the professional credibility that a 2-day visit never could
Graduate differently
15 months inside industry doesn't just build skills. It builds a story — one that holds up in any interview room.
Real Work Portfolio
Projects, reports, and outcomes you actually delivered — not simulated.
Professional Network
Relationships built over 15 months, not exchanged on a single campus visit day.
Industry Fluency
You know the language, pace, and politics of how real organizations operate.
Employment Head-Start
High-performing IILP students may be considered for full-time roles from May 2028.
RLIMS IILP Certification
Formal recognition of your immersion — above and beyond the MBA degree.
10 seats. Are you one of them?
IILP selection happens before Semester 1 begins. If you're joining the 2026–28 MBA batch at RLIMS and want to be considered, reach out to the CRC Head directly.
